Provide current branch name next to the search bar

Why Required ?

Already current branch name is mentioned in the footer [Blue color] but many a times I find it easier if it is mentioned in the top search bar [next to the username__project_name__current_branch_name]

Current branch name can be mentioned in the top search bar [next to the username__project_name__current_branch_name] or it can also be mentioned in the Git tab where the user can find it easily

This is an UI/ UX improvement. The branch name is already available [ We can re-use the same code for this improvement]. Any additional inputs can also be included in the UI/ UX design

This is good feedback! the branch isn't very visible in the bottom left I agree. I think it deserves a more prominent location in the top bar.

I've filed a ticket internally where we'll discuss the best place to show it. I'll keep you up to date as we progress.

The command center (in middle) is quite tight for space already, and the branch names can be long so i'm thinking of displaying it next to the up-to-date text and inside the commit dropdown when you have changes:
