I tried to follow @[email protected] from @UniStuttgartAI@bawü.social with the Mastodon web interface, but the follow request is still pending to be accepted. I guess that the issue is the non-ASCII character in the domain bawü.social. However, it should not be an issue if it is translated as @[email protected]. Is there another way to follow @[email protected]?

Hey @danielhz, sorry for the trouble! The problem isn't the non-ASCII character in your domain, it's that Bridgy Fed requires accounts to be at least one week old: https://fed.brid.gy/docs#troubleshooting

By the way, maybe it should be a list of trustable servers for which there is no risk of spam or misuse (like https://bawü.social).
