I am running SMPLAYER on OpenSuse Tumbleweed and today just tried to add youtube support. I updated the necessary files and picked MPV in the support for video site. There is no Youtube Browse option in the view menu. I am running the skinnable gui if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help.
