Unable to see announcement channels

Some time ago, Discord added in "announcement channels" - https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032008192-Announcement-Channels- -- These can be subscribed to by other servers so that you can send out announcements to anyone who cares enough to subscribe to 'em.

It looks like bitlbee-discord can't actually "see" these channels, though. When a server I'm on set that on one of their channels, I was booted out, and it doesn't show up in a chat list discord anymore. I assume that it must be showing up differently when bitlbee-discord tries to get the channel list, or something.
