New Notebook button should NOT be hidden behind the submenu

In what scenarios do you need this feature?

I'm new in this software and want to complain about the UI. Why MOST important button is hidden behind sub-menu? It should be on the most visible place!

Place Plus button in the main page (Plus button = New Notebook option)

Also i don't want to see colored icons near the document title. Why can't i disable this? Is it so hard to copy Notion style?

Also drag and dropping document inside document should create link to it instead of merging documents!
