Suggestion / for discussion: User can easily forget to run ntpdate to make sure their clocks are good. Some suggestions are could Lighthouse run ntpdate when it first runs?
Or at least display a message to the user if the clock is off by some amount of time, and not run until user improves their clock?
Least intrusive could be a line in the log about the clock offset at startup?
