Feature Request: Add functionality to edit sticker set #4489
Comments
I'd also welcome some way to delete sticker packs. You probably couldn't prevent those who've already downloaded them from using and reuploading them, but I think it would still be useful. |

Any update on this? |
It is highly unlikely that we'll ever do this. The system as designed has a whole lot of code assuming that a sticker pack will never change once created. |
@scottnonnenberg-signal Why is that tho? I mean we all know emojis change from time to time, opinions change and also stickerpacks. Would be interesting to know :) |
as much as i hate to say it, i feel that automatically assuming sticker packs are rarely edited is extremely tonedeaf as some of the more popular chat platforms such as telegram and discord use stickers AND allow for users to edit them as they please. editable sticker packs should have been a thing on here from the start since it's now worked itself into a corner regarding that particular matter with no good solution in sight |
I would like to have the ability to create a small sticker set and then add more stickers to it.
As you said it is not linked to an author, but you could eg. have an edit link being generated which is shown after the sticker set is initially created. With that link you can then adapt or delete that set.
That would also mean you would not have sticker sets being added and added, but some might get deleted or amended instead of forgotton and duplicated, which would also save storage space :)
