I fiddled around for ages with kdocker to put signal desktop into the tray.
Now I found by chance the --use-tray-icon command line option.
This capability is extremely useful, but as far as I can see it not advertised at all.
It is not exposed through the in-app settings (File / Preferences).
There is no item in the Help menu that lists the options.
signal-desktop --help doesn't work.
man signal-desktop doesn't work.
Are there any other useful options I should know about? ;)
I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates
This is related to #3518, but isn't identical since most programs expose their tray capabilities also through an in-app setting. I support #3518 since documenting command line options would be good in general, but this also could/should be a setting.
Signal Version: 1.27.3
Operating System: Debian 10 "buster"
Linked Device Version: not relevant
