The problem

Installation Method: The provided 64bit Appimage.
**Browser **: Firefox-esr Mozilla Firefox 128.6.0esr.
Problem: While trying to sign in, the browser does not redirect to the desktop program, and the link is not working.

Release version

Version 3.4.8-linux1 (x64)

Operating system

Antix Linux

Having the same issue on Mint. Not sure of what to do, am very new to this.

I need more details from the application to be able to troubleshoot further. Please check the logs created at ~/.config/GitHub\ Desktop/logs/ from around the time of the issue to see if there's any helpful messages that might explain the underlying behaviour.
