The problem

Seems like the repo stopped updating? in github release there release and pre-release for 3.4.x. But repo is stuck at 3.3.12-linux2.
@shiftkey seems like something in infra got broken?

Release version

3.3.12-linux2

Operating system

Ubuntu

Steps to reproduce the behavior

Just do

curl https://apt.packages.shiftkey.dev/ubuntu/dists/any/main/binary-amd64/Packages

if you don't want to setup the whole repo.

Both the shiftkey and mwt repositories are currently at version 3.3.12 while the Flatpak release is up-to-date.

On debian (based) distros, you can use following command:

apt-cache policy github-desktop

This is very strange, curl now shows 3.4.12-linux1

But apt only shows 3.3.12-linux2 :/

@shiftkey Upon further investigation:

  • https://apt.packages.shiftkey.dev/ubuntu/dists/any/main/binary-amd64/Packages has 3.4.12-linux1
  • https://apt.packages.shiftkey.dev/ubuntu/dists/any/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz has 3.3.12-linux2

Verify by

curl https://apt.packages.shiftkey.dev/ubuntu/dists/any/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz | gzip -d

Tested this out from my side and I see 3.4.12-linux1:

This might be down to cache busting - I thought I tricked this into working but perhaps it needed some more time...

@shiftkey Yeah I also think its because of cache. Domain is resolving to 13.104.183.78, which is from azure singapore IP. Which is returning the old data. If I check from a US vps, it shows 3.4.12-linux1.
