AppImage: OrcaSlicer issues #433
Comments
@rav101 Do you know whether this is still an issue with the latest alpha? Chris |
I did a fresh install of Serpent a few days ago. Let me download the latest alpha when i next get back on my laptop and I will report back. As a guess, I'm thinking the issue is not on the orca side given the alpha status of Serpent but let's see.

Thanks, Rav. |
Hi Chris, Same error. On a fresh install of SerpentOS you need to install libfuse2 (sudo moss it libfuse2) but still get the error above. I'm sure it's known to Ikey and essentially need SerpentOS (team) to package up libwebkit2gtk (or whatever the specific package is call). |
Thanks, Rav. I know the main Devs are hard at work, and I'm starting to help with priorities for future releases. Let's see what can be done about the package. Chris |
Just to note, the OrcaSlicer team are now offering flatpak images (for their dev nightly builds) which I am now testing. I have it successfully installed and it finds my printer so whilst this doesn't fix the wider AppImage issues, it is a solution for OrcaSlicer specifically. I'm guessing once OrcaSlicer 2.3 goes official, maybe at that point it gets added to Flathub rather than just being offered as a downloadable file to manually install? |
That's reassuring, Rav. It may not be a fix, but it's a valid workaround. |
Hi,
I'm trying to load up orca slicer for use with my 3d printer and I get the following error
