Scroll by tapping screen left/right like on an ebook reading application #642
Comments
please try 4.2.10 |
I use a BOOX Tablet Tab Mini C with colored e-ink display and can confirm that the function is confusing. I can no longer scroll with the current theme, although it usually works well on a Boox. Links at the end of an article can also no longer be clicked on. Perhaps this function could be added in the settings as an option that is disabled by default. It could also make sense to place small arrows to the left and right of the edge of the screen instead of invisible click areas. |
Me again, I have thought about the requirement again. Actually, it is not necessary at all. Using the arrows up and down, you can scroll on the current page and with left and right also the articles. In my example, I only activated left and right, but the @jdesmoulins could set search up and down here. |
Thanks for the feedback.
Will support in next version. |
That's a good solution |
please try 4.3.0 |
The side panels in 4.3 are working well for me so far. Thanks for adding them. I haven't seen any issues with them blocking links like the bottom panels did, since most links won't be at the very edges of the text and there's some margin. |
I am using the application on an eink device, and a very good feature can be to scroll by just tapping on left or right side of the screen like it works on an ebook reader application.
Scrolling is not fast on eink devices, and it's hard to use the application by sliding on the screen.
It you can implement this, it could be a very nice option for eink users ;)
Thanks in advance for your help,
Jerome
