Audio time counter keeps running after pausing #4

Sometimes after pausing the audio the time counter keeps running (and the audio slider keeps moving to the right), even though no audio is heard.

It looks like a problem in propagating the "pause" command in JS land to
the highlight timer, since in native-land the audio rendition stops.

I have never heard about this issue before. What device/OS version did
you experience the problem on?

It's happening on the ipad mini (not on my nexus 4 though). Also on the ipad, pressing the OK button on the "new book" dialog kept throwing me back to the home screen, until after numerous attempts it stopped happening.

Again, it seems a JS problem. No idea about the root cause. In the settings there is an option that prevents the "new book" dialog to appear, maybe it helps.
