Spinners can be cheesed #8224
Comments
This will 99% go away once we start processing input properly on mobile platforms (like actual touches instead of simulating mouse clicks & holds). That's probably quite a ways away though. |
Yep. This won't be fixed until the touch support goes in. |
Linking #8578 here - I think that what it was trying to say that you can also cheese spinners with a mouse if you zig-zag the mouse back-and-forth? Not sure, expanding scope just in case. |
Peppy said that will be not fixed until touch support goes in. But we can cheese spinners with a mouse. Edit: I understand now, so this have also a effect with replays |
As an aside, this is working-as-intended. Unlike in stable, lazer's spinner has no "weight", or inertia. We may change this in the future depending on how it feels. The idea was to keep calculation 1:1 with user input, though. |
Wouldn't it be better to make the spinner work like a real "wheel" ? |
Posting comments like the above to github is basically noise to us developers. Care to explain what you mean by a "real wheel"? |
I think MTGPROD means it spins like osu-stable. Also, spinner can go faster than 477 RPM if you really try hard enough, let me know if I should open an issue for it. |
This is intended. |
Describe the bug:
By tapping extremely rapidly with two fingers with the circle of the spinner at the middle. You can go up to 430 RPM.
