Maiana stopped transmitting / probably faulty gps

I have a maiana board with following versions:
$PAISYS, 11.8.0,4.0.1,,STM32L432,1,1*0E

I have it installed since May 2023 and it did us a very reliable service. Since 3 weeks it stoped sending and it seems its because it does not get gps signal. The overall configuration didn't change and it is in the same place it used to be.
I already checked the contact of the cable, but it looks perfect with no sign of corrosion. Upgrading the firmware wasnt succesfull jet as the STM32 Cube program cannot connect to the maiana. (I will try that again)
I tried finding something out about the status of the gps chip via der serial console but was not finding anything usefull.

Receiving works perfectly but sending not, of course if it does not get gps.

Did anybody have the same problem? Any ideas how i can narrow it down if the gps chip died or could it be a problem with the firmware?
