Original report (archived issue) by Steve Peters (Bitbucket: Steven Peters, GitHub: scpeters).

Gazebo does not compile on the latest release of Mac OSX (10.9 Mavericks), which uses libc++ by default. There are compilation errors in gtest, related to tr1 headers. A fix for the gtest errors is to use gtest 1.7.0, as was done in sdformat pull request 68.

I have done this in 8df675f and am currently testing.
