What is it like to run amvstrm website & API?

It is fucking hard

So we have been hosting API and website for 1 year now and it is not that hard to manage. We are hosting on 4 different providers and we are not going to name all of them _I mentioned them somewhere.

Since we released the V2 back in July of 2023, we have now reached over ~2K visitors within 30 countries, and the old V1 site had around ~5K visitors before updating to v2 plus tons of requests as shown in the image below.

And yes we are still working to improve the website to make it as simple as possible from deployment to using the website. We also receive a lot of feedback from our friends on Facebook and somewhere else. Since we don't track too much data like the use of cloud sync with Deta, local bookmarking, PWA, and Disqus commenting feature, we just let users do whatever they want.

What if I told you that /api/v2/stream is one of the most requested routes here and there are a lot of projects and even bootleg websites using our API. Joke aside, we don't mind people using our API because we basically get data from different data providers *EXCEPT THE FRONTEND CODE. We are not sure why people love them because we added 2 embedded video player URLs to the data IDK...
