@rahil-makadia — Thanks for your submission! All the suitable JOSS editors are currently working at capacity so I'm going to "waitlist" this review until an editor with the relevant expertise is available to take it on. Thanks for your patience! |

For whichever editor might pick this up, note that this is a joint publication with AAS Journals (specifically, the Planetary Science Journal). 🌍 |
@warrickball Looks like it might take some time before the review starts on this paper. Let me know if there's anything to do in the meantime or if it's just a waiting game right now... |
I'm afraid it is mostly a waiting game. Hopefully an editor will become available within a week or two, and they'll then start seeking reviewers. The basic metadata properties all look good. My only comment on the paper at this point is that we prefer inline hyperlinks to footnotes. |
@editorialbot set dev as branch Changing branch to dev since that's where I first make edits |
Done! branch is now dev |

@warrickball Any further updates on the review? I know we just came out of the holidays, but I just wanted to check in since the complementary AAS paper is already through the first round of reviews |
I'm afraid not, sorry!. We're still just waiting for an editor to pick this up and we have a substantial backlog. Hopefully it won't hold up the AAS publication but let us know when if the paper moves to accepted and I'll prioritise this on our waiting list. |
Hi @rahil-makadia, sorry for the long wait. I'm going to pick this one up as editor myself so will start looking for two reviewers. This can vary wildly in how long it takes but hopefully it'll only be a week or two longer before we can start the review. |
@editorialbot assign me as editor |
Assigned! @warrickball is now the editor |
@editorialbot add @mkretlow as reviewer |
@mkretlow added to the reviewers list! |
@editorialbot generate pdf @warrickball the PSJ paper was just accepted this morning. I've updated the citation in the JOSS manuscript. If it helps with the review, I can also put a link to the accepted PSJ manuscript here... |
Thanks, though it isn't necessary. If you have a DOI (even if it doesn't resolve yet), you can update the I'm still trying to find a second reviewer, which I'm hoping will take less than a week. Sorry for the continued wait! |
