broken phi representation of a string

This is what I see in string.phi after converting string.eo into it:

                  Φ̇.txt.sprintf(
                    ξ.string(⟦ Δ ⤍ "Expected %d byte character at %d index, but there are not enough bytes for it: %x" ⟧),

This definitely is a broken syntax (string can't be attached to \delta).
