Speed up plugin refresh time #130

If you make a change to a device or sensor, the information needs to travel to your panel, back to alarm.com, then get polled into this plugin the next time the refresh timer ticks. This can take a while when you have an alarm panel using cellular. After upgrading to a panel with Wi-Fi, I find that commands are sent almost immediately. You could also try reducing the refresh time in the plugin config.Does this help?ChasePlease excuse any grammatical errors as this was sent from my phone. On Apr 15, 2024, at 7:47 AM, jarmartin76 ***@***.***> wrote:
Any time the alarm is used, the notification on Homekit is taking a long time, and for example the automatizations are not done at the same time if I use as a trigger the activation of alarm, to close the doors at home. It happens around 15-20 seconds later.
Expected behavior
Instant notifications on Homekit, 1-2 seconds. At least to speed up the time of response.
Homebridge System (please complete the following information):
Node.js Version: v20.9.0
NPM Version:
Homebridge Version: Homebridge v1.7.0 · UI v4.56.1
Operating System: Synology DSM Version: 7.2.1-69057 Update 3

I'm facing the same issue. WiFi only and have never been on a cellular connection. |
I'm going to change this issue to reflect what I think you will need, which is polling support in the plugin. This conversation was started in node-alarm-dot-com/node-alarm-dot-com#27. In the meantime, reducing your refresh time in the plugin settings should help with late notifications. |
