The Workbench is not loaded with AmigaOS 3.1.4 (Hyperion), because the workbench.library and the icon.library are not included in the Kickstart.

The HelloAmi icon.library is intentionally not compatible with later Workbench versions (2.x/3.x).

To load the Workbench you have to copy the following files from the Install3.1.4 disk:

  • C/LoadWB
  • Libs/icon.library
  • Libs/workbench.library

and the S/Startup-Sequence has to be changed to:

HelloAmi
LoadWB DELAY
EndCLI
