LDAP Home Folder Mapping #6583
Comments
This...... this would be so nice. |
This could also provide the basis to set common home folders for multiple users...? https://help.nextcloud.com/t/share-users-main-directory/8202 |

Hey guys, this feature request is exactly what I need for the environment I am setting up. It looks like no one has picked this up yet. If I had more knowledge of the code base I would be willing to help out a more senior developer in working on this feature, but alas I do not (having just recently discovered this wonderful tool). If anyone has been toying around with this idea I would be interested to see if we can get some traction on this project. |

Hello. Any news on this? Thanks! |
Hi there,
I've been working on some stuff to get some solid remote access to files in our windows server environment, I've had LDAP setup on nextcloud for a while now and have mapped users home folders as external storage which is not only a time consuming process its also not very ideal as people have to actually save stuff to their external storage folder. It would be nice if there was a feature to automatically map a users home folder in LDAP to the home folder on nextcloud, so that it's transparent to the user where their stuff is being stored.
Thanks!
