macOS has a share menu in lots of applications like the image viewer, browser etc. There you can add elements to notes, reading list, send it via email, messages, airdrop and more:

It would be cool if Nextcloud would support that too. That way you coud directly share to Nextcloud users, or share via link (which could add it to the root of your Nextcloud and automatically create a share link).
Here’s an example of how Telegram integrates, making it possible to share files to people without opening the app: sindresorhus/caprine#447
