Deck cards with a due date are associated with the calendar app.
From the calendar app you can open your Deck card, but not if the app Tasks is activated. Then the card will not be opened in Deck, but in Tasks. This makes the link to the Calendar app unusable.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Installed Apps Deck, Calendar, Tasks
Deck settings: Show boards in calendar/tasks activated
Calendar settings: Show tasks in calendar activated
Create a card with a due date
Click it in calendar to see details or to edit
Card opens unexpectedly in Tasks.
Client details:
Nextcloud 25, 26, 27

This is indeed an unfortunate situation. It wouldn’t be much of an issue when there would be a 2-way synch between Deck and Tasks.
However I think Tasks (and Deck) needs to be rewritten in such a way that a single Deck item (Card) is a single “Task” and has some sub-levels available when a Card actually has (markdown) subtasks.
I think reordering it in such way would make the Deck/Tasks integration more sense and might even allow for better calDav integration with OS integrated task managers like “Reminders” on iOS*.
For now I think the quick win is to edit the “event/deck” link to not use Tasks, but Deck instead.
*This is an Epic which requires some more considerations such as moving card to i.e. a “Done” list and edit markdown from a task manager checkbox.
Also, ability to edit the deck task from calendar directly in a popup or to be navigated to the deck task page to be able to edit it (as per above - new epic).
@joshtrichards IMO this is not an enhancement but a bug: user creates card in Deck, but when clicking on the event in calendar gets taken to Tasks (which is not where the user wants to go), also no relevant task is shown in Tasks
