View sessions and views may precede the boundary of the active period. It would be very useful to be able to change the active period directly with in the overlays without having to return to the main app and changing the time picker there.

This is impacted by the inability for a nerdpack to affect the platform time picker - we can't implement something custom and have it change the platform time picker.

Will investigate if the timepicker can be made available in an nerdlet overlay.
