PR https://github.com/mpi-forum/mpi-standard/pull/973 and associated issue https://github.com/mpi-forum/mpi-issues/issues/850. Dan explained that the addition to the changelog was removed since the main text was a clarification and not really a change.
We may be able to treat this as an errata and hence just need a single vote. Will probably require a no-no vote on the changelog entry removal.
Dan brought up that the MPI forum may have a special off-cadence vote-only meeting to make progress on the ABI proposal.
https://github.com/mpi-forum/mpi-standard/pull/938 was briefly discussed. This has past two votes should be ready to go. A related PR https://github.com/mpi-forum/mpi-standard/pull/970 needs a reading, possibly two.
Sonja noted that the launch vs start vs spawn issue and PR were also discussed at the forum.

suggested this should really be the responsibility of the somewhat moribund semantices terms group.
Group also briefly discussed pinging some team members about their work in the PMIx area relevant to Sessions.
