Describe the bug

When using moonlight on my nothing phone 2a trying to stream a game at 1440p 60fps with like 60k bitrate or rlly any config the fps stays at 60 then drops to around 40fps after a couple of minutes, I can fix this temporarily by unplugging my charger and replugging it back in until it does it again

I have tested a google pixel 4a 5g and it has no issues streaming it at 1440p 60fps at 60k bitrate, I played for around 30 minutes on it, zero problems but that's my dad's phone so can't use it

I also streamed my desktop to my Xiaomi mi box and it had no issues also streaming my desktop to the tv

When starting the stream, works fine for a couple of minutes

After those couple of minutes it goes down to 40fps and doesn't want to go back up

Plugging it back in it goes back up to 60fps and feels great until it does again

Iv noticed also that the fps of the stream is doing its job but not the phones fps

Screenshot_20250110-220051.png

I have also tested my rather old poco F1 on the same settings and it also has almost no issues holding 60fps even when it gets pretty hot, this phone came out in 2018 and somehow is doing a better job on a custom rom lol

I have contacted nothing's developers to see if they can fix the issue and have asked if they can contact the moonlight developers to see if you can both solve the problem that is happening

I have solved the fps problem by disabling HW overlays in the developer options in android, now the decoding would be nice if low latency version was used as the decoding time is around 30ms which isn't great
