What source of truth would we use? the nuget version? or the GitHub tag? They don't match 100% (no -preview with GitHub tags)

also do you expect the warning to show for every command? or just the first one in a "session"? as per the update command, we can probably provide it when it runs as a tool or in a container, but I don't think we'll be able to provide one when using downloaded binaries or local built.

I wouldn't want it to appear with every command. Why don't you think we could do it with local binaries? Are you concerned about it looking like we are calling home with telemetry?

we could display the outdated message across all download/install mechanisms. It's the "install" command to update kiota that I'm not sure we're be able to provider for locally built and binaries download.
