Quick access to some of the shortcuts also with a mouse, or with touch #21994

Hello and thanks for your message. Good idea and mock-up. Do you code much? Maybe you would like to help? :) CC @niels9001 |
Hi! We've identified this issue as a duplicate of another one that already exists on this Issue Tracker. This specific instance is being closed in favor of tracking the concern over on the referenced thread. Thanks for your report! |
@Jay-o-Way is anyone working on this atm to your knowledge? If a contribution for this implementation would be welcomed, I am interested to try and implement it. There are a bunch of power toys features (eg: the color picker) I like but rarely use because I am not big on memorizing shortcuts so this would be great for me and it seems like others like it. I also find the implementation suggested here much simpler and nicer than the one in #6751 |
There's an open PR here: #22408 Stuff shown there will see some minor changes based on feedback and requirements soon. |
Description of the new feature / enhancement
To be able to activate the shortcuts for some of the functions also with mouse click or touch, not only with the keyboard.
In the Settings - Add an option to display each function in the system tray, and activate it when clicking on the Power Toys icon.
Scenario when this would be used?
Will be handy for those who like to use the mouse more often, or if they have a device with a touch screen
