I recently got a wide screen monitor. To help manage window locations on this new, huge screen, I installed FancyZones. It works nicely.
When my computer goes to sleep, the monitors also go to sleep. When it wakes up, I hear the sound Windows makes when a device is unplugged and plugged in. The monitor powers up, and my windows are all moved around, generally in the upper left area. Shouldn't they be in the same place after waking up (even if windows is "unplugging" and "plugging in" the monitor)?

I've included before and after screen shots.

FancyZones, Before
FancyZones, After

I've also included a screen shot of my Windows behavior settings

I'm seeing similar behaviour between my laptop and widescreen monitor. Previous setup with two 24" monitors seemed to not have this issue.

However, it might be nice if Fancy Zones could restore window placements not just on wake, but also on reconnecting a laptop to it's screens or docking station.

this is caused by Windows, that moves the applications because it treats the the monitor as if it was disconnected.

Just because it is caused by Windows, doesn't mean FancyZones can't fix the issue.
