Symptom

When synchronous SCSI mode is enabled the boot process fails and hangs when probing for SCSI devices.

Workaround

Do not enable synchronous SCSI mode and the machine will boot as normal from SCSI.

Issue was caused by SCSI termination, use of an active terminator resolved the issue
