DamnVid 1.6 does not start from the menu in Ubuntu 12.04

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Ubuntu 12.04 menu\Sound&Video\Damnvid
2.  Left click on Damnvid Icon in the menu.
3.

What is the expected behavior? What do you see instead?  The expected behavior 
is the DamnVid application should start.  What you See instead is nothing 
happening.  The only way to start the application is via the command line.


What version of DamnVid are you using? Version 1.6 On what operating system?  
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS  Better
yet, paste the system info that you see in the Bug Report dialog, if
possible.


Please attach the file damnvid.log, found the in the following directory:
- %APPDATA%\DamnVid if you're on Windows (Copy/paste that into Explorer's
address bar)
- Home/Library/Preferences/DamnVid on Mac OS X
- ~/.damnvid on Linux
Please provide any additional information below.
