left bass registers (the feedback shows) but also counts as miss #152

I may be missing something obvious, but please let me know how to debug this. I am using an HXW Avatar controller.

The feedback is showing (a pink translucent foot flies up the lane), but it also registers as a miss when I use the left bass.
