It's documented to be in /var/run/secrets/kubernetes.io/serviceaccount/namespace.

Perhaps this could be surfaced somehow?

Yeah, that should be pretty easy to implement. Unfortunately, my internet has disappeared. So marking as help wanted for now until it's restored.
