I served as a vexillological advisor for several official US state redesign efforts (past and present) and we used Flag Waver to help guide the selection processes. There were several important previews that we had to implement separately, and it would be great if these could be built into Flag Waver's core features to aid ongoing efforts.
Preview of various kinds of colour blindness (protanopia, tritanopia and deuteranopia) and Purkinje Shift.
Preview of blur, approximating astigmatism, peripheral vision or imperfect viewing conditions.
Preview of viewing at longer distances, with a convenient slider. I am aware that camera settings are available, but these are cumbersome to use, and the range of numerical values is not apparent.
Preview of multiple flag images simultaneously, on adjacent poles. This helps with comparisons of options being voted upon, or before-and-after comparisons of the old state flag and proposed flag.
These additions would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time and consideration.
Kind regards,
Brian Cham

It's great to hear about FlagWaver being used in the real world and I think these features would be fine additions. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of free time to commit to this project these days, and I'm also not sure if all of these requests are technically feasible, but I will certainly look into these when I have a moment to get back into this.
Thanks for agreeing to look into the request, Krikienoid. It is much appreciated. If you don't mind me making recommendations about the time limitations, the distance slider would be the easiest to start with, as it's simply a UI change for an existing feature (the camera values). Keep me updated!
