Content:

  • Explain that we track the download event, app version, and basic device info for debugging purposes
    • Note: this is actually tracked by default by Github for ALL public Github repos
  • Explain that we track app.initial.opened WITHOUT user metadata like IP to get high level usage data
  • Explain that we might** try to get DAU (e.g. app.reopened) WITHOUT user metadata/behavior, to understand retention
  • Clarify that we don't track anything else, i.e. usage/behavior/data/content all remain on the user's computer
