[ionic v4] ion-searchbar color property not applied

Current behavior:

Setting a color property on has no effect.
Expected behavior:

Setting a color property on the component should change is color.
Steps to reproduce:

1. create a new app with ionic cli (ionic start myApp --type=angular)
2. add the searchbar with the color property on home.page.html
