What should this feature add?

When the last image in the gallery view is selected and deleted with the delete key, the selection moves to the first image in the gallery view. It would be much more in-line with convention if it selected the last image instead. This is especially the problem when deleting images over and over and the selection focus shifts to the first image, which I already decided not to delete.
