I’ve encountered an issue where the Search Light GNOME extension does not work properly when the Pop Shell extension is enabled. Specifically:
The Search Light launcher only appears if no windows are open.
If there are any windows open, attempting to launch Search Light fails—it doesn’t show up.
This behavior suggests an incompatibility between the Search Light extension and the Pop Shell extension. It would be great to have this issue addressed to ensure compatibility, as both extensions are widely used by GNOME users.
Steps to Reproduce
Enable the Pop Shell extension.
Open a window (e.g., a terminal or browser).
Attempt to activate the Search Light launcher.
Expected Behavior
The Search Light launcher should appear regardless of whether windows are open.
Observed Behavior
The launcher only appears when no other windows are open.
Environment Details
GNOME Version: GNOME 42.9
Search Light Version: 17
Pop Shell Version: 2
OS: Linux Mint 21.3
