Overview

We need to write brief summaries of project accomplishments for each year of the project's life, to go on the website's accomplishments page.

Action Items

Step 1

  • Starting by reading resource 1.02 to see how accomplishments are worded on the Hack for LA website. Note that they are:
    • readable even if you don't know anything about the project
    • short
    • clearly articulated achievements that funders would care about
    • list partners if available

Step 2 (once PD One Sheet has been created)

  • Find and review all previous One Sheets
  • Find the PeopleDepot One Sheet in the Google Drive (resource 1.03) and add a link to its folder in resource 1.04.03 below. If there are multiple folders, create 1.04.03.01, 1.04.03.02, etc. indented under 1.04.03
  • Review all previous project One Sheet drafts under 1.04 (including edit history)

Step 3

  • Search the project's repo for any accomplishment issues, add any links you find to a comment
  • Go to the project repo issue tab (resource 1.05)
  • Review all closed issues, looking for details of your project's progress that you could use in your accomplishment summary, noting the accomplishment and date of completion
  • Copy and paste the following heading into a new comment below, adding beneath it the links to issues that represent accomplishments in chronological order of their completion:
### Project or CoP's repo issue searches
  • Copy and paste the following into a new comment below, indicating in words any search terms you used in the filter bar and add the URL for that search as a link:
#### Searches
- [Replace with description of what you searched for in the Filter bar, and link to that search]
- [Replace with description of what you searched for in the Filter bar, and link to that search]
- [Replace with description of what you searched for in the Filter bar, and link to that search]

Step 4

  • For each year of the project, draft a brief paragraph describing what the project accomplished in that year and paste that paragraph into a new comment below
  • Move this issue into the Questions/Review column on the PD Project Board, for discussion and review
  • Edit the paragraph for each year in line with feedback
  • Copy and paste each paragraph into the Project History page on the PD Wiki (resource 1.06)

Step 5

  • Update the org's Accomplishments epic issue (resource 1.01)
  • Copy and paste the following into a new comment in the epic issue (resource 1.01):
We have completed the accomplishments for PeopleDepot, 2020-2024
  • Add the label updated to the epic issue (resource 1.01)
  • Add the label ready for org rep to the epic issue (resource 1.01)
  • Move the epic issue (resource 1.01) into the Questions/Review column on the HfLA: Project Team Tasks project board
