We decided to drop support for legacy browsers starting with v5.0.0, but I think we should do one, possible two more 4.x.x releases:

  1. v4.4.0 - that should be released alongside v5.0.0, in order to correct some of the things from v4.3.0, most of them related to inaccurate docs (e.g.: v4.3.0 includes the Google Universal Analytics snippet, while the docs still talk about the old snippet).

Note: I've already updated the v4 branch to include some of these fixes that were already in the master branch.

  1. v4.4.1 that will include only one change: jQuery v1.12.0 (the last jQuery version to support IE6/7, Opera 12 and Safari 5.1).

Thoughts?

Two more releases sound great to me.
If I noticed correctly, you already did a couple of steps for v4.4.0.

@drublic yes, I've integrated some of the fixes from master. Also, once I finish updating the docs (hopefully in the next few days), I'll integrate some of those changes, and then we can do the release! :)
