Project: Bumo - a libray used to mutate objects, with colors and more

I have published Bumo, a new experimental project which is somewhat a combination of:

• Build132d Shape History, an other experimental project than can be used to produce parts "diff";
• my personal experiments on object mutations (as discussed here).

Example of use:

obj = Builder(_.Box(12, 12, 2))
obj.add(_.Box(8, 8, 4))
obj.fillet(obj[-1].edges_added(), 0.4)
hole = obj.sub(_.Cylinder(3, 4))
obj.chamfer(hole.edges_added()[0], 0.3)

It seems like you're trying to re-invent Algebra mode:

Your version:
obj = Builder(.Box(12, 12, 2))
obj.add(.Box(8, 8, 4))
obj.sub(_.Cylinder(3, 4))

Algebra:
obj = Box(12, 12, 2)
obj += Box(8, 8, 4)
obj -= Cylinder(3, 4)

I know algebra mode (the project is based on it), and I like it pretty much. The syntax is much more intuitive for me than in the builder mode. Thank you for your work on this!

But Bumo uses a slightly different approach, by mutating an object on each operation instead of returning a new object. The object has a "memory" of all its operations. It allows some interesting features like coloring altered faces like in the image above.

Edit: I added an alternative syntax that allows the use of +=, -=, &=, *=.

I released a new version, 0.1.3. Here is the changelog:

• automatically color mutations using a predefined color palette;
• support for a new syntax using assignment operators (+=, -=, &=, *=);
• added Mode class reflecting how the faces will be rendered (color, debug mode, etc.), which can be passed in mutations;
• added colors in the builder.info() table, so it's easy to make a link between a mutation and the altered faces on the object;
• mutations shape attributes (.altered_faces, added_edges, etc) are now ShapeList instances, so build123d filters can be used;
• added shapelist.info() method which print an info table similar to builder.info (color to come);
• added builder.last attribute used to get the last mutation.
