Information Boards (tourism=information) on levels <=18 #324
Comments
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=51.7118&mlon=10.5157#map=16/51.7118/10.5157 <- link with marked position near (I think) information board. And I think that rendering it at 19 is a good idea (but I am against complete removal). |

I see two possible solutions, either tag them just with information=board |
#304 is a related problem with tourism=information that would need information=* to be put into the database. |
I think this is a major problems with the many things tourism=information is used for. There's a huge difference in the importance of a tourist office or a visitor centre and a route marker attached to a tree. I suggest the following rendering: Alternative if adding the information tag is too much hassle: |
Information boards are much to present on the map. In my region I mapped plenty smaller boards with historic information about buildings or other structures but imho it doesnt make sense rendering them before zoom level 18 or 19 or maybe ignoring them on the default map.
For example see this area: http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/51.7123/10.5129
