I have a type design book list on Amazon I made for Fred Brennan a few years ago, and surely there are many excellent learning resources around the web. For a graphic designer who wants to turn their lettering into a typeface, and get it into Google Fonts, what background reading or further education can we point them to?

On that page, we can clearly indicate that the Guide is not meant for that effort, as it goes way beyond its goal (which is to state the requirements to onboard families to GF), but we could even include some links to the many online programs for that endeavor.
