LaTeX variables not rendering on macOS Sonoma 14.0

Describe the current behavior
LaTeX variables like \mathcal{G} show as squares instead of letters:

$ \mathcal{G} = (\mathcal{V}, \mathcal{E}) $: sieć (graf) złożona z węzłów $\mathcal{V}$ i krawędzi $\mathcal{E}$

Describe the expected behavior

Variables should be renedered correctly.

In my case, installing the "Native MathML" didn't work.

That's exactly what I've written above... XD

Confirming that adding Native MathML extension to Chrome has no effect. All my $\mathcal{L}$'s still appear as squares in Colab when viewed with Chrome on Mac:

...but with Safari they look fine.
