Unchanged files can have the wrong extension

If you have a one-to-one transformation that changes file extensions, those files will be copied with the wrong name on transformations after the first one, if their contents don't change:

# initial build
foo.coffee -> foo.js
bar.coffee -> bar.js

# foo changes
foo.coffee -> foo.js
bar.coffee -> bar.coffee
