[Feature Request] - Smooth Caret Mode

Tho I personally prefer the current blink underscore presenting the entire active word, but I do receive request from community that some prefer a caret display.

This is not a priority for now, as it does not align with the current implementation aesthetic/UX design. But it would be a nice to have feature, to better suit the users preference.

I used css purely to create the pacing caret. Initially I wanted it to be an overlay standalone component, though it does not align with the initial code structure. But it works.
