Description

Hi, it is seem like that this bug occurred after Files was upgraded to 3.9. In version 3.9, Cards View replaces the former Tiles View, I have a folder that used to be Tiles View. In version 3.9, when I open this folder, it will be displayed as Detailed View. Then I try to switch views to arbitrary views, but I just get a solid background, and there will be no change in the layout buttons. I try to roll back to old version, I could make sure that is due to the emergence of Cards View.

Thanks for the report, Can you try going to Files settings > Layout > Change layout type to details and turn on and off Sync layout and sorting preferences across directories

Thanks for the report, Can you try going to Files settings > Layout > Change layout type to details 和 turn on 和 off Sync layout and sorting preferences across directories

Thanks for your reply, I can really resume normal use after trying according to the method you told. I suggest that we can inherit the previous Tiles View to the current Cards View. Because this action will destroy the view options of other folders, which seems to be not the perfect choice >.<.

Tiles View should have automatically migrated to Cards View as the layout id hasn't changed. It seems like there was a different issue with the database in which case the method @Josh65-2201 should help.
