Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
If I have VSCode running for a long time and I clone more repositories, they won't show up until I run a refresh command manually.

Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to be able to configure it to refresh, say, once an hour.

Also it would be nice if it auto-refreshed after using the Git: Clone command but I have not idea if that's feasible.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Accidentally making a second clone of repositories because I didn't realize I already had them.

Additional context
I read the source code and don't see anything that calls internalRefresh other than an explicit command invocation
or workspace configuration change.
