The ability to look up all the minids I've minted would ease medium-term maintenance and updates or redirects.

Though this may imply a registry, and I know we don't want to be in the registry business...

Oooh - per Carl, "BTW, check out the new EZID user interface. Search on BD2K. You can also search on author, and other fields. I wonder if the API lets you search on other metadata attributes that are not in the standard UI."

Maybe a wrapper for EZID tools would allow us to implement this functionality without creating a new registry!
